Owen Sørbye Davis

Owen Sørbye Davis is an 18-year-old Norwegian cellist from Oslo. He began his musical education with the Nordberg String Orchestra and continued at the music program at Majorstuen School. Since 2019, he has been part of the Young Talents program at the Barratt Due Institute of Music. He is currently a student in the music program at Munch High School, where he is taught by Louisa Tuck.

Owen has participated in renowned festivals such as the Hemsing Festival, the Bowdoin Summer International Music Festival in the USA, and the Verbier Festival. He has received several awards, including the Anna Kull International Cello Competition and the Young Ludwig Competition.

Owen has given numerous public performances, including in Austria, Germany, Serbia, Hungary, and Slovenia, where he performed works such as Beethoven’s Triple Concerto and Dvorak’s Cello Concerto.
