Erika Kalliovirta

Erika (b. 2002) started playing the violin at the age of six. When she was nine years old, she enrolled at Barratt Due musikkinstitutt. From the age of eleven, she studied with Ting Zu Chen and later switched to viola, studying with Soon-Mi Chung. Between 2016 and 2021, she was part of the Young Talents Programme at Barratt Due, and a member of the junior orchestra. Erika has also been actively involved in chamber music and was a participant in the young quartets programme through the Oslo Quartet Series during the 2021/22 season.
