Harpreet Bansal

Harpreet Bansal has established herself in recent years as one of Norway’s most fascinating musicians.

Her approach to the deeply rooted Indian raga tradition draws inspiration from jazz, folk music, and contemporary classical music. She is one of Norway’s most sought-after performers and regularly appears at prestigious festivals both in Norway and internationally. She has performed her music as a soloist with renowned ensembles such as the Oslo Philharmonic and the Norwegian Radio Orchestra.

Harpreet has released three albums on Jazzland Recordings with her ensemble, Harpreet Bansal Band, earning her a Spellemann Award nomination in 2019 and the prestigious NOPA Prize in 2021. Her most recent album, Parvat, on which she performs with Kringkastingsorkesteret, was nominated in six categories at the OPUS Klassik Awards in 2022.
